This space is a digital journal, not a media or content outlet.
This is about my plan to follow my dream of becoming a digital nomad, building while exploring.
I have always wanted my own workspace, something really clean, a nice setup with a large screen. But I’ve never had one. And whenever I think about getting one, the same thought always creeps in… what happens to it when I move?
Before I know it, I cancel the idea completely.
Because even as an introvert who enjoys his own space, I can be very restless. I get bored and tired of staying in one place for too long. I always want to move around. And of course, I cannot move with a full workstation setup. So instead of dealing with that, I just decided not to have one at all.
Another thing is my love for learning new languages. I’ve always fantasized about learning at least eight different languages, maybe even more. Now that I’m 30, I feel like I’ve built enough of a career foundation, and it’s time to start chasing these personal dreams while still building.
I made a list of countries I would love to not just visit, but actually live in. Then I started looking into countries with digital nomad visas so I can at least start from somewhere.
Right now, I’m learning French. Funny enough, I started with Duolingo and honestly… I didn’t learn much.
So I switched to an app called Pimsleur, and it’s been much better. My sister also knows some French since she studied in a French-speaking country, so she’s been helping me here and there. Every night, I take about 30 minutes to learn new words and sentences.
The plan is to stay at least six months in a country. If I like it, I stay longer.
If I don’t, I move on and plan the next location.
I have a few months left in Nigeria before I pack up and leave.
I’ll keep updating this journal as I go.
No vlogging.
Just following my dreams, exploring, building, and living.
