Honestly, I hate the spotlight. I like to remain behind the scene but then the world we are in today needs us to show up every day and stay consistent.
Spotlight 1 - 0 Thosyn Pax
I have created, recreated, rebranded my social pages like a lot of times now, still haven’t really found the right fit. I read and took courses but I just wasn’t feeling it. Then I realised it’s not me. Face cam content isn’t my thing.
Spotlight 2 - 0 Thosyn Pax
Until recently, I told myself that I don’t have to show my face if I don’t want to. I can still write newsletters and share articles. Even a podcast is a good one. So I started Hustle Hive 2 months ago on LinkedIn and I went over to 1k followers already.
Spotlight 2 - 1 Thosyn Pax
Since I already deleted my Medium profile, I went to Substack to recreate some of those Hustle Hive newsletters there so I could later and easily turn it into a paid newsletter. But I am just the only follower since almost 3 months now.
Spotlight 3 - 1 Thosyn Pax
I talk to people about it to know what I can do. I got a lot of ideas and suggestions and I realised I might have to take some photoshoot. Damn. I always avoid photoshoots. Well done spotlight. I was excited to do it at first but I kept postponing the plans towards it. I was using time and money as an excuse whereas deep inside of me, I didn’t want to.
Spotlight 4 - 1 Thosyn Pax
Then it occurred to me that I could actually start a YouTube channel and make short videos and even use my free time to edit some of my classes and upload them to YouTube. All thanks to an amazing woman. So I created a channel and uploaded few videos. Lots of people are doing fine without having to show faces.
Spotlight 4 - 2 Thosyn Pax
There I was thinking about the future. Paximum Overdrive. Knowing too well I will be talking to investors and potential startup founders. Well, I can handle this well. So far it’s not going to be a crowded and lousy space, I can perform excellently well without being terrified.

While at it, I was told that I might have to take photos and post to social media for documentation purposes. Ọmọ2 bit why now.
Spotlight 5 - 3 Thosyn Pax
I thought about podcast, but that takes a lot of time to grow and I don’t think I have that much time for it. It would have been so nice because before I started Pax Trail (this notes) I was recording most of my words on my phone at the time. I will share some of it in one of my notes this year whenever I have the nerve of doing so. Lol. But podcasting is a whole lot. Deciding on what to talk about, preparing the right script, recording and listening to my voice over and over again. I’ll pass.

Let’s just stick with Hustle Hive on LinkedIn and Substack for now and also see how well my YouTube will boost my chances too.
