Lately, I’ve been wondering if I’m just lazy or if my body actually needs rest. But honestly, I hate the fact that I now sleep at 5 a.m., and it’s not getting better. It’s frustrating.

But what can I do? A tech bro has got to work day and night, init? I also have this habit of looking for a reason before I adjust. It’s like I know something is wrong, but I won’t change it unless someone calls my attention to it. Lazy², because who does that?

Another thing—every time I’m about to start a class at AfriHeals Careers, I suddenly feel lazy. I start thinking about postponing or hoping the student doesn’t show up. Lazy⁓, init? But I’ve found a trick: I tell myself, ā€œDude, it’s just two hours. You’ll be done soon and can go back to being lazy.ā€ And funny enough, once I finish the class, I suddenly have the energy to keep working—even when I should be resting. Feels good, init? Okay, I’ll stop saying init, init.

What I’ve noticed lately is that I need to be self-motivated. I need something—or someone—that constantly pushes me to get things done. Because the moment I pick up my laptop, I get into the flow easily. You’d see me and say, ā€œDude, you’re hardworking.ā€ But really, it’s just my adrenaline kicking in, so I have to work with it.

Lorokan (In summary), I need to make a list of things that help me stay motivated—things that can turn laziness and procrastination into zeal and hunger for work. So, I went ahead and reported myself to ChatGPT, and he said… (Wait, is ChatGPT a ā€˜he’? I don’t even know).

O dįŗ¹ wa make sense o (It actually makes a lot of sense), because here’s what I think too—

I’ve always known that I can turn problems into opportunities. Instead of just trying to get rid of a problem, I should focus on what works for me and use it to my advantage. And from experience, laziness doesn’t just go away. You have to find ways to manage it, control your thoughts, and stay focused.

Let’s search for ginger (motivation).

Enough about me—how you dey na? (How are you doing?)
